This article examines Péter Lichter’s Nutrition Fugue (2018) as a materialist film practice in which processes of cutting, decay, and reassembly enact a form of material self-dismemberment that challenges dominant representational regimes. Drawing on the Hungarian táltos tradition, it interprets these operations as ritual procedures of transformation and perceptual expansion, opening a space for cultural re-appropriation.
